Most Condo Homeowners Associations are approvable by HUD. Some are not. Typically the reasons for rejection are that there is pending litigation against the association, or that the reserve is under-funded. Additionally there may be too many investor units in an association or possibly the association was incorrectly transferred from the developer. While we will review documents that you send us, we will also do informal reviews with the management company and, or, the HOA board to confirm that material submitted is not being falsified.
We do this both for your protection (HUD does not take kindly to falsified data) and for ours. We want a reputation that ensures that packages submitted by us to HUD are packages that can be depended on. This assists in expediting submissions due to a level of both familiarity and veracity of a Condo Approvals, LLC, submitted package.
